2014 BMW 328 vs. 2014 Cadillac CTS Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW 328 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Cadillac CTS with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 328 and the Cadillac CTS in the front seats.

Convenience
The BMW 328 will require fewer stops at the gas station than the Cadillac CTS, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW 328 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Cadillac CTS. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 328 and the Cadillac CTS have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The BMW 328 is a little narrower than the Cadillac CTS, so you'll have an easier time getting in and out of the car in a tight parking spot. If you go with the BMW 328, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Cadillac CTS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the BMW 328 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Cadillac CTS.

Handling
The BMW 328 has about the same turning radius as the Cadillac CTS, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 328 is significantly less powerful than the Cadillac CTS. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 328 and the Cadillac CTS. The BMW 328 has less cargo capacity than the Cadillac CTS, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The BMW 328 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Cadillac CTS.
