2013 BMW 135 vs. 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the BMW 135 than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 135 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the front seats.

Convenience
With the Mercedes-Benz E-Class you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the BMW 135, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the BMW 135 is clearly a better financial choice over the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 135 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW 135 is much slimmer than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the BMW 135, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the BMW 135 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Handling
The BMW 135 has about the same turning radius as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's basically a tie between the BMW 135 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 135 and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The BMW 135 has significantly less cargo room than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The BMW 135 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
