2013 Audi Q7 vs. 2013 Acura MDX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat may find themselves a little more cramped in the Audi Q7 than the Acura MDX. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Audi Q7 and the Acura MDX.

Convenience
Due to the larger tank size and better fuel economy of the Audi Q7, you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the Acura MDX.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Audi Q7 is somewhat more expensive than the Acura MDX. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Audi Q7 and the Acura MDX have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Audi Q7 is about the same width as the Acura MDX. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Audi Q7, which is slightly longer than the Acura MDX.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the Audi Q7 does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Acura MDX.

Handling
The Audi Q7 has a larger turning radius than the Acura MDX, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Audi Q7 is clearly the choice over the Acura MDX for pulling heavy loads. When it comes to horsepower, the Audi Q7 has a lot less horsepower than the Acura MDX.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Audi Q7 and the Acura MDX. The Audi Q7 has less cargo space than the Acura MDX, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Audi Q7 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Acura MDX.
