2014 Audi A8 vs. 2013 Audi S6 Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Audi A8 than the Audi S6. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Audi A8 and the Audi S6 in the front seats.

Convenience
The Audi A8 will require fewer stops at the gas station than the Audi S6, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Audi A8 is somewhat more expensive than the Audi S6. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Audi A8 and the Audi S6 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Audi A8 is much wider than the Audi S6, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Audi A8, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Audi S6.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the Audi A8 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Audi S6.

Handling
The Audi A8 has a larger turning radius than the Audi S6, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's basically a tie between the Audi A8 and the Audi S6.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Audi A8 and the Audi S6. The Audi A8 has less cargo capacity than the Audi S6, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Audi A8 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Audi S6.
