2016 Audi A5 vs. 2017 Cadillac ATS Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will feel a little more squished in the Audi A5 than in the Cadillac ATS, due to the Audi A5's smaller rear head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Audi A5 and the Cadillac ATS in the front seats.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Audi A5 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Cadillac ATS. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. In this case, the Audi A5 will cost less to deliver to the dealership than the Cadillac ATS.

Dimensions
The Audi A5 is about the same width as the Cadillac ATS. When looking at overall length, the Audi A5 takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Cadillac ATS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the Audi A5 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Cadillac ATS.

Handling
The Audi A5 has about the same turning radius as the Cadillac ATS, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Audi A5 has less horsepower than the Cadillac ATS, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Audi A5 and the Cadillac ATS. The Audi A5 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Cadillac ATS.

Warranty
The Audi A5 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Cadillac ATS.
