2013 Acura ZDX vs. 2014 Lexus GX 460 Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lexus GX 460 than in the Acura ZDX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Acura ZDX and the Lexus GX 460.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura ZDX as you will with the Lexus GX 460, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura ZDX is somewhat more expensive than the Lexus GX 460. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Acura ZDX and the Lexus GX 460 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura ZDX is much wider than the Lexus GX 460, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Acura ZDX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Lexus GX 460.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Acura ZDX doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lexus GX 460.

Handling
The Acura ZDX has the same turning radius as the Lexus GX 460, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Lexus GX 460 is clearly the choice over the Acura ZDX for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Acura ZDX and the Lexus GX 460.

Utility
The Acura ZDX has less seating than the Lexus GX 460, making the Lexus GX 460 the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The Acura ZDX has less cargo space than the Lexus GX 460, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Acura ZDX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lexus GX 460.
