2013 Acura ZDX vs. 2013 Audi Q5 hybrid Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Audi Q5 hybrid than in the Acura ZDX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Acura ZDX and the Audi Q5 hybrid.

Convenience
The Audi Q5 hybrid requires fewer stops at the gas station than the Acura ZDX, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Whether you pick the Acura ZDX or the Audi Q5 hybrid, it's going to cost you about the same. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Acura ZDX and the Audi Q5 hybrid have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura ZDX is much wider than the Audi Q5 hybrid, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Acura ZDX, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Audi Q5 hybrid.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the Acura ZDX transmits power to its wheels a bit more effectively than the Audi Q5 hybrid.

Handling
The Acura ZDX has the same turning radius as the Audi Q5 hybrid, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Audi Q5 hybrid is clearly the choice over the Acura ZDX for pulling heavy loads. When it comes to horsepower, the Acura ZDX greatly out-muscles the Audi Q5 hybrid.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Acura ZDX and the Audi Q5 hybrid. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries in the Acura ZDX as you will in the Audi Q5 hybrid.

Warranty
The Acura ZDX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Audi Q5 hybrid.
