2015 Acura RDX vs. 2014 Lincoln MKX Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lincoln MKX than in the Acura RDX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Acura RDX and the Lincoln MKX.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura RDX as you will with the Lincoln MKX, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Acura RDX will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Lincoln MKX. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Acura RDX and the Lincoln MKX have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura RDX is much slimmer than the Lincoln MKX, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. When looking at overall length, the Acura RDX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Lincoln MKX.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Acura RDX doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Lincoln MKX.

Handling
The Acura RDX has the same turning radius as the Lincoln MKX, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Lincoln MKX is clearly the choice over the Acura RDX for pulling heavy loads. The Acura RDX has a little less horsepower than the Lincoln MKX.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Acura RDX and the Lincoln MKX. The Acura RDX has less cargo space than the Lincoln MKX, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Acura RDX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lincoln MKX.
