2014 Acura RDX vs. 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Hyundai Santa Fe than in the Acura RDX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the Acura RDX and the Hyundai Santa Fe.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura RDX as you will with the Hyundai Santa Fe, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura RDX is somewhat more expensive than the Hyundai Santa Fe. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Acura RDX and the Hyundai Santa Fe have similar Destination Charges.

With similar torque, the Acura RDX and the Hyundai Santa Fe are about even in transmitting their respective horsepower to the wheels.

Handling
The Acura RDX has a larger turning radius than the Hyundai Santa Fe, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Hyundai Santa Fe is clearly the choice over the Acura RDX for pulling heavy loads. The Acura RDX has a little less horsepower than the Hyundai Santa Fe.
