Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Cooper over the Porsche Boxster.

While the front cabin in the MINI Cooper offers a bit more head room than the Porsche Boxster, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Porsche than the MINI because of its larger tank. The MINI Cooper fits in smaller parking spaces than the Boxster.

With that kind of horsepower, the Boxster is a legitimate sports car.

With their comparable turning radiuses, the MINI Cooper and the Porsche Boxster likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

The Porsche Boxster's engine is tremendously larger than the MINI Cooper's. Keep in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Boxster will have picked up and gone by the time the MINI Cooper finally gets moving. The Cooper could learn a lesson or two from the Porsche Boxster when it comes to pickup.
