Porsche Boxster vs. BMW M3 Review

Handling
The Porsche Boxster and the BMW M3 have about similar tires. With their comparable turning radiuses, the BMW and the Porsche most definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Utility
The BMW M3 will indubitably prove more practical than the Porsche Boxster for those of you with frequent child-cargo.

Convenience
The BMW M3's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Porsche Boxster. You will doubtless have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the M3 than with the Boxster.

Dimensions
The M3 is quite a bit more ponderous than the Porsche Boxster. The BMW M3's tank is roughly the same size as the Porsche Boxster's, though the Porsche Boxster's is a tad more capacious. The Porsche Boxster and the BMW M3 compete for the same parking spaces. The Porsche's shorter wheelbase will likely give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the M3 is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The BMW M3 is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Porsche Boxster. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so tough that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Porsche Boxster and the Porsche Boxster perform roughly comparably as far as gas mileage. The M3 will tax your gas budget markedly more than the Porsche Boxster will. In terms of gas mileage, the Boxster bests the BMW M3. With respect to fuel economy, the Boxster has the M3 beat. As far as MSRP, the Porsche Boxster doesn't cost much less than the BMW.

Overview
The BMW M3 and the Boxster have the same basic after-sale protection.
