Pontiac Vibe vs. Subaru Outback Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Pontiac to the dealership as the Subaru Outback. The Vibe is tremendously less costly than the Outback regarding MSRP. The Subaru Outback is quite a bit costlier than the Pontiac Vibe with respect to purchase cost. The Subaru Outback will cost you a bunch of money in gas every year compared to the Pontiac Vibe.

Utility
The Subaru Outback's more sizeable trunk will accommodate more large things than the Pontiac Vibe. Neither the Vibe nor the Outback has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity. Towing is markedly more the Subaru's forte than it is the Vibe's.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Pontiac Vibe offers a bit more head room than the Subaru Outback, there really isn't much of a difference. The Pontiac offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Subaru Outback does.

The Subaru Outback is considerably heavier than the Pontiac Vibe. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Subaru Outback than the Vibe because of its bigger tank. The Pontiac Vibe and the Subaru compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Subaru Outback packs quite a punch and will knock the Pontiac Vibe down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

The Subaru and the Pontiac have roughly similar tires. With their comparable turning circles, the Subaru Outback and the Pontiac Vibe likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.
