With their comparable turning radii, the Toyota Highlander and the Pontiac most certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Torrent and the Toyota Highlander have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Toyota Highlander. The Pontiac Torrent could learn a lesson or two from the Highlander in terms of pickup.

Utility
The Toyota will quite certainly prove friendlier than the Pontiac Torrent for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. Towing is significantly more the Torrent's forte than it is the Toyota's.

Convenience
The Toyota Highlander's fuel tank will need to be replenished slightly more often than the unit in the Pontiac Torrent.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Pontiac Torrent offers a bit more head room than the Toyota Highlander, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Pontiac Torrent offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Toyota Highlander, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Highlander's tank is roughly the same size as the Pontiac's, though the Torrent's is somewhat larger. The Toyota Highlander and the Pontiac Torrent compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Torrent is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Toyota Highlander. The Pontiac doesn't pale in comparison to the Toyota Highlander when it comes to fuel economy. Producing an exact fuel economy evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Toyota Highlander and the Toyota Highlander perform approximately similarly with respect to fuel economy. The Toyota Highlander isn't much pricier than the Pontiac with respect to MSRP.

The Pontiac Torrent and the Toyota Highlander have the same basic warranty.
