Pontiac Torrent vs. Mitsubishi Endeavor Review

The Mitsubishi Endeavor and the Pontiac Torrent can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Dimensions
The Pontiac's tank is almost the same size as the Mitsubishi's, though the Endeavor's is a bit bigger. The Pontiac Torrent and the Mitsubishi compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Mitsubishi's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Pontiac Torrent.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Torrent to the dealership as the Mitsubishi Endeavor. Producing an accurate fuel economy evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Pontiac and the Pontiac perform approximately comparably regarding gas mileage. The Mitsubishi Endeavor uses a lot of gas compared to the Pontiac Torrent. With respect to MSRP, the Mitsubishi costs approximately as much as the Torrent (though the Torrent is somewhat cheaper).

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Mitsubishi is definitely sprier than the Pontiac Torrent, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Mitsubishi Endeavor has a bigger engine than the Torrent. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Pontiac Torrent could learn a lesson or two from the Mitsubishi with respect to torque. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Mitsubishi Endeavor is substantially more powerful than the Pontiac Torrent.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Pontiac Torrent's front cabin compared to the Mitsubishi Endeavor. The Pontiac Torrent provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Mitsubishi Endeavor does.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Pontiac Torrent isn't quite as generous as the Mitsubishi's.
