The Kia Borrego will most certainly prove handier than the Pontiac Torrent for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The Kia Borrego outpulls the Torrent by a sizeable margin.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Borrego packs quite a wallop and will knock the Pontiac Torrent down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Kia Borrego is significantly heavier than the Pontiac Torrent. The Pontiac Torrent's tank is approximately the same size as the Kia Borrego's, though the Kia Borrego's is slightly bigger. The Pontiac Torrent and the Kia Borrego compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Kia Borrego's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Pontiac Torrent.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Pontiac Torrent is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Kia Borrego.
