You'll definitely have to take the Pontiac Torrent for a fill-up more often than the GMC because of its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Pontiac Torrent to the dealership as the GMC Terrain. The Pontiac Torrent will tax your gas budget significantly more than the GMC Terrain will. As far as gas mileage, the Terrain beats the Torrent. The Pontiac Torrent isn't much pricier than the Terrain as far as MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the GMC and the Pontiac quite certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The GMC Terrain's engine is substantially smaller than the Pontiac Torrent's. Keep in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the other hand, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage.
