It costs approximately the same to get the Saturn VUE Hybrid to the dealership as the Nissan Xterra. Regarding gas mileage, the Saturn VUE Hybrid beats the Nissan Xterra. The Nissan Xterra guzzles a lot of gas compared to the VUE Hybrid. The Nissan Xterra isn't much less expensive than the Saturn in terms of MSRP. The Saturn VUE Hybrid will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the Nissan Xterra.

Utility
Neither the Nissan Xterra nor the Saturn VUE Hybrid has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. The Nissan Xterra outpulls the VUE Hybrid by a large margin.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Nissan Xterra than with the Saturn VUE Hybrid.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Saturn VUE Hybrid offers a bit more head room than the Xterra, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Saturn provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Nissan does.

Dimensions
The Nissan Xterra is substantially more bulky than the VUE Hybrid. The Saturn VUE Hybrid's tank is approximately the same size as the Xterra's, though the Nissan Xterra's is somewhat larger. The Nissan Xterra and the Saturn VUE Hybrid compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Nissan Xterra packs quite a wallop and will knock the Saturn VUE Hybrid down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

With their similar turning radii, the Nissan and the Saturn VUE Hybrid quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Xterra has a bigger engine than the Saturn. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder.
