Nissan Xterra vs. Saturn VUE Review

The Nissan Xterra and the Saturn VUE can accommodate the same number of passengers. Towing is considerably more the Nissan Xterra's forte than it is the Saturn VUE's.

Dimensions
The Nissan Xterra is substantially more bulky than the VUE. The Saturn VUE's tank is roughly the same size as the Nissan's, though the Nissan Xterra's is a bit larger. The Nissan Xterra and the Saturn VUE compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You quite certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Nissan than with the Saturn VUE, because both offer comparable ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the VUE to the dealership as the Nissan Xterra. The Saturn VUE won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Nissan Xterra. The Nissan Xterra pales in comparison to the Saturn VUE with respect to fuel economy. With respect to MSRP, the VUE doesn't cost much less than the Xterra.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Nissan Xterra and the Saturn VUE likely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Xterra has a more massive engine than the Saturn VUE. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Xterra packs quite a wallop compared to the Saturn when it comes to torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Saturn VUE offers a bit more head room than the Nissan Xterra, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Saturn VUE make it significantly more spacious for your passengers than the Nissan Xterra.

Warranty
The Saturn VUE and the Nissan have the same basic after-sale protection.
