Nissan Xterra vs. Kia Sorento Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Kia Sorento to the dealership as the Nissan Xterra. The Kia Sorento won't tax your gas budget considerably more than the Nissan Xterra will. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Kia Sorento is a little more economical than the Xterra. When it comes to MSRP, the Nissan Xterra costs about as much as the Kia Sorento (though the Kia Sorento is a bit cheaper).

Utility
Neither the Kia Sorento nor the Nissan Xterra has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. There's no clear winner between the Kia Sorento and the Nissan Xterra in terms of hauling capacity.

Convenience
You'll quite certainly take the Nissan Xterra for a fill-up about as often as the Kia Sorento.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Nissan Xterra offers a bit more head room than the Kia, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Kia Sorento make it substantially more spacious for your passengers than the Xterra.

Handling
With their similar turning radiuses, the Kia Sorento and the Nissan Xterra definitely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Xterra has a more sizeable engine than the Kia. Note that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Kia Sorento could learn a lesson or two from the Nissan when it comes to torque.
