Nissan Titan vs. Toyota Tundra Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan are legitimate sportscars.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Toyota is definitely more agile than the Nissan Titan, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Toyota Tundra's engine is substantially smaller than the Nissan Titan's. Bear in mind that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. The Titan packs quite a punch compared to the Toyota with respect to torque, which is the force that lets you accelerate quickly. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Titan is substantially more powerful than the Toyota Tundra.

Utility
Neither the Toyota Tundra nor the Nissan Titan has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity. The Nissan is likely a better choice than the Tundra with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of stuff or sizeable dogs. There's little the Toyota Tundra can tow that the Nissan Titan cannot.

Convenience
You most certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Nissan Titan than with the Toyota Tundra, as both offer similar ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Nissan Titan offers a bit more head room than the Toyota Tundra, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Toyota Tundra offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Nissan Titan, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Toyota Tundra's tank is approximately the same size as the Nissan Titan's, though the Nissan Titan's is a little larger. The Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan compete for the same parking spaces. The Nissan Titan's longer wheelbase will likely result in a smoother, more stable ride; however, the Toyota may give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Nissan is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Toyota Tundra. The Titan will tax your gasoline budget significantly more than the Toyota Tundra will. When it comes to fuel economy, the Toyota Tundra and the Titan don't differ much. The Nissan Titan isn't much more expensive than the Toyota Tundra when it comes to MSRP.

Warranty
The Nissan Titan and the Toyota Tundra have the same basic warranty.
