Nissan Titan vs. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Review

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is definitely nimbler than the Nissan Titan, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Nissan has a bigger engine than the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Bear in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. Torque equals pickup, and the Nissan Titan will have picked up and gone by the time the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 finally gets moving. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Nissan Titan is substantially more powerful than the Silverado 1500.

Utility
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the Nissan Titan can accommodate the same number of passengers. There's no clear winner between the Titan and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 when it comes to transporting cargo. Towing is significantly more the Nissan Titan's forte than it is the Chevrolet Silverado 1500's.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet offers a bit more head room than the Nissan Titan, there really isn't much of a difference. The Silverado 1500 is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Nissan.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500's tank is about the same size as the Nissan Titan's, though the Nissan's is somewhat larger. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the Titan compete for the same parking spaces. The Chevrolet's shorter wheelbase will give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic. However, the Titan is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Nissan is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 isn't much less costly than the Nissan Titan regarding MSRP.

Warranty
The Nissan Titan and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 have the same basic warranty.
