2009 Nissan Titan Overview
Featuring otherworldly power, utility and off-road ruggedness, the 2009 Nissan Titan is a god among mortals in the full-size truck segment.

The Titan is available in four trim lines – XE, SE, LE and PRO-4X – in King Cab or Crew Cab configurations with optional extended wheelbases. Choose between the standard 5.6-liter, 317-horsepower V-8 that offers 385 lb.-ft of torque or the E85 FlexFuel engine with the same specs.  Both engines are geared for up to 9,500 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped. The five-speed automatic transmission is designed to take full advantage of the engine’s power.  The Titan receives a mediocre 12-13 MPG in the city and 17-18 MPG on the highway.

The Titan is the first full-size pickup with wide-opening rear doors, while the interior has smart storage capabilities, including 60/40 flip up rear seats, an oversize center console that can hold a laptop computer, and available front bench seating for six-passenger capacity. Additional amenities include rear sonar, which emits an audible beep as you back up closer to an object. The available navigation system offers a choice of conventional maps or a 3-D Birdseye view, while the optional DVD Mobile Theatre features a flip-down 8-inch color monitor to entertain your crew.  The Available Rockford Fosgate-powered 350-watt 10-speaker audio system with a subwoofer provides crystal-clear acoustics, while Bluetooth connectivity will assist you with your phone calls on the go.

Bed utility options include a Utili-track Cargo Channel System featuring adjustable tie-down cleats and a 5-channel system. A factory-installed spray-on bedliner adds durability. A lockable bedside storage compartment and a tailgate workstation with two lights and a 12-volt power outlet make it an ideal, flexible workspace.  For those who like to haul their boat or trailer, the available Max Utility Package includes a heavy-duty battery, front tow hooks, extendable outside mirrors, Class IV receiver hitch, 7-pin wiring harness and trailer brake controller pre-wiring under the dash.

Standard safety features include a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist for excellent stopping ability. Standard front dual airbags, side-impact airbags, and roof-mounted curtain airbags with rollover protection keep passengers safe in a collision. Available Vehicle Dynamic Control creates additional stability in evasive maneuvers.  The fully-boxed steel frame is very rigid, giving added strength to heavy-duty jobs.

If you need a truck to do what trucks are meant to do—and a lot more, then the 2009 Nissan Titan is the truck for you.
