2010 Nissan Rogue Overview
“Going Rogue,” in Nissan’s case, means blending the style and fuel efficiency of a car with the utility and functionality of an SUV, thus creating the 2010 Nissan Rogue. The five-passenger 2010 Nissan Rogue faces stiff competition from Toyota RAV4 and Saturn Vue in the compact crossover segment, available in both front- and all-wheel-drive configurations and S and upscale SL trim levels. The sleek and agile Rogue is powered by one engine choice—a 170-horsepower, 2.5-liter inline-4 engine mated to Nissan’s advanced Xtronic two-speed CVT transmission—and is among the class leaders in fuel economy ratings ranging between an impressive 21-22 mpg in the city and 26-27 mpg on the highway. The 2010 Nissan Rogue resembles its larger midsize crossover sibling, the Murano, and is based on the same platform as the Sentra, which helps enhance ride quality. A new 360-degree option package includes privacy glass, a rearview camera, rear spoiler and chrome grille. Sitting on standard 16-inch steel wheels with available 17-inch aluminum wheels, standard exterior features include power-heated mirrors and chrome door handles with front fog lamps, xenon headlights and a moonroof available as optional equipment. The interior is adorned either in cloth, two-toned cloth or leather upholstery. You can also opt for a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter. With a maximum cargo capacity of 58 cubic feet, front bucket seats, an available flat-folding front passenger seat and a second-row 60/40-split folding bench seat enable you to carry larger items. Available features include a Bose sound system with XM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry ignition system and heated front seats. A rear cargo organizer provides more storage options. A listing of the 2010 Nissan Rogue’s standard safety features includes side-impact and side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, four-wheel disc brakes with an antilock braking system, electronic stability system with traction control and a smart key, which immobilizes the engine in the event of an attempted theft. The five-passenger 2010 Nissan Rogue compact crossover’s best features are its sport styling cues, standard safety equipment and, of course, fuel efficiency.
