2013 Nissan Quest Overview

The 2013 Nissan Quest is ideal for those looking to move passengers in comfort and style. For 2013, the Quest has a few trim-level changes. The SV adds an available backseat DVD entertainment system, while the LE gets a surround-view camera system.

Of late, Nissan is notorious for taking risks when it comes to styling its cars and the Quest is no exception. Although the current design is almost three years old now (debuting in 2011), it still catches the eye and remains modern. Blacked out pillars give the side and rear windows the appearance of a single piece of glass that wraps around the entire van; it’s a cool effect that looks different at first glance, but takes a second to recognize. The Quest is available with a moonroof and xenon HID headlights, while convenience features like a powered liftgate and power-sliding side doors are optional.

Under the hood, the 2013 Quest’s beating heart is a 260-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 that is mated to a CVT. Fuel economy is estimated at 19/25 mpg city/highway, par for the course amongst minivans like the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.

Inside is where the Quest really shines, with comfortable appointments and upscale materials. The Quest only comes with a pair of captain’s chairs in the second row, which means seating for up to seven passengers. When it comes to storage capacity, the Quest is not as flexible as some of the competition since the second row can only fold forward, while in other minivans those seats are removable or fold completely into the floor. However, there is one thing we do like about the Quest’s storage options: the third row rolls forward, which means that at all times there is a deep, easily accessible well behind the third row that is great for storing bags and things you don’t want to slide around.

Standard interior features include cloth upholstery, auxiliary audio input, power windows/locks, air conditioning, and push button start. Also offered are tri-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/iPod port, rear seat DVD entertainment system, and a hard drive based navigation system.

The 2013 Quest also possesses some of the cooler safety features around, including an Around View Monitor system that uses four cameras to display a complete view of everything to see around the Quest which makes backing up or maneuvering in tight spaces a breeze. The Quest also utilizes Nissan’s Easy Fill Tire Alert, which sounds the horn when the tires are being filled so you know when they have reached the correct pressure. Six airbags, antilock brakes, and an electronic stability system are standard.
