2010 Nissan Murano Overview
The 2010 Nissan Murano is a stylishly modern five-passenger midsize crossover that offers plenty of standard and optional interior gadgetry, competitive fuel economy and utility and first-class safety technologies.
Redesigned in 2009 as a second-generation model, the five-passenger 2010 Nissan Murano midsize crossover is available in S, SL and LE trim levels and front- or all-wheel-drive configurations. The Murano competes with the likes of Ford Edge, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander and is powered by a powerful 265-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to an Xtronic CVT transmission. EPA estimated fuel economy ratings are 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
The 2010 Nissan Murano base S trim sits on standard 18-inch wheels and features full power accessories, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, trip computer and six-speaker sound system with a six-CD changer and auxiliary audio jack. The SL adds privacy glass, a power driver seat, a power return feature for the rear seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with auxiliary audio controls.
The upscale LE sits on 20-inch alloy wheels and offers a power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, heated side mirrors, roof rails, automatic xenon headlights, heated front and rear seats, a power passenger seat and a pop-up cargo area organizer. An upgraded Bose audio system, iPod integration, satellite radio, keyless ignition/entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a rearview camera, LED taillights, a dual-chrome tailpipe and Bluetooth connectivity are also standard equipement for the LE. A 60/40 fold-flat rear seat with power return helps to provide up to 64 cubic feet of cargo volume.
Standard safety features include front and side-impact airbags for front occupants with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor and side curtains to protect both rows of seats that will also deploy in the event of a rollover. Four-wheel-disc antilock brakes and an electronic stability system with traction control are also standard technology.
Loaded with technology, from proactive safety features to entertainment packages, the 2010 Nissan Murano is stylish and sporty, essentially capturing what the modern midsize crossover utility vehicle should be about.
