Nissan Frontier vs. Mitsubishi Raider Review

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Nissan and the Raider most definitely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Frontier's engine is tremendously smaller than the Mitsubishi's. Note that smaller engines can be stressed more; however, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Mitsubishi Raider is considerably more powerful than the Nissan Frontier. The Nissan could learn a lesson or two from the Mitsubishi Raider as far as pickup.

Utility
The Mitsubishi Raider's more massive trunk will accommodate more large items than the Nissan Frontier. The Mitsubishi Raider will definitely prove more practical than the Frontier for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Mitsubishi is a better choice than the Nissan Frontier with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of stuff or massive animals. Towing is considerably more the Nissan Frontier's forte than it is the Mitsubishi's.

Convenience
The Nissan Frontier's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Mitsubishi Raider.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Nissan Frontier offers a bit more head room than the Mitsubishi Raider, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Mitsubishi Raider make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Nissan Frontier.

Dimensions
The Mitsubishi is considerably more bulky than the Frontier. The Nissan's tank is almost the same size as the Mitsubishi Raider's, though the Mitsubishi Raider's is slightly larger. The Nissan Frontier and the Mitsubishi compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Raider to the dealership as the Nissan Frontier. As far as fuel economy, the Mitsubishi Raider is slightly better than the Frontier, but not by much. In terms of MSRP, the Nissan Frontier doesn't cost much less than the Mitsubishi Raider.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Nissan Frontier isn't quite as generous as the Mitsubishi Raider's.
