There's no clear winner between the Ford Explorer Sport Trac and the Nissan Frontier as far as hauling capacity. The Nissan Frontier and the Ford Explorer Sport Trac can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a better choice than the Nissan Frontier regarding transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of suitcases or animals. The Ford Explorer Sport Trac outpulls the Nissan by a massive margin.

Dimensions
The Ford is considerably more bulky than the Nissan Frontier. The Nissan Frontier's tank is roughly the same size as the Ford Explorer Sport Trac's, though the Ford Explorer Sport Trac's is slightly larger. The Nissan Frontier and the Ford compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Frontier's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Ford.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Nissan Frontier to the dealership as the Ford. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Nissan Frontier is a little more economical than the Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The Nissan Frontier's engine is tremendously smaller than the Ford Explorer Sport Trac's.
