2011 Nissan Cube Overview
Being different is good, especially when you’re the fun, affordable, and alternative 2011 Nissan Cube.
After being a hit in Japan for several years, the 2011 Nissan Cube is starting to make its presence felt in America with its wraparound rear/side window and fun and youthful amenities. The Cube is available in base, S, Krom Edition, and SL trims and has a 122-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that is mated to a standard six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings of 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway are quite impressive and competition includes the Kia Soul, Scion xB, as well as the more conventionally designed Jeep Patriot and Honda Fit.
Unlike other box-like vehicles out there, the 2011 Nissan Cube sets itself apart with its unique rear window that wraps around to the rear right side of the car. This window is not only a fresh styling feature, but offers excellent visibility to all things behind you and in your blind spot. Fifteen-inch steel wheels with plastic covers are standard, while 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and bright chrome trim are optional.
Inside, the 2011 Nissan Cube fuses nature with modernism to give the driver a sense of unity between both worlds. The white tachometer represents the moon, while the blue speedometer represents the Earth. The ripple effect that a drop of water creates is displayed in the headliner, cup holders and speakers. The Cube seats five and the backseat resembles a sofa, which can recline and move forward and backward. Fold the rear seat down and you will open up 50 cubic feet of cargo space for your luggage or other cargo.
As for interior goodies, the 2011 Cube is available with a navigation system that features a 5.0-inch color touch-screen monitor and XM NavTraffic. Bluetooth® connectivity, a rear view camera, automatic temperature controls, push button ignition, premium cloth trim, Rockford Fosgate audio system, iPod interface, USB port, XM Satellite Radio, and ambient lighting are all next-generation options that will make for an exciting driving experience.
As far as safety is concerned, the 2011 Nissan Cube features an electronic stability control system, seat-mounted front side-impact and side curtain airbags for both rows, and active front head restraints.
Set yourself apart from the rest with the unique, efficient, and fun 2011 Nissan Cube.
