2011 Nissan Armada Overview
When it comes to the spacious and high-tech driven 2011 Nissan Armada SUV, bigger is definitely better.
The 2011 Nissan Armada is aptly named, for it has the power to haul a fleet of passengers and cargo. A 317-horsepower, 5.6-liter V-8 is mated to a standard five-speed automatic transmission and also puts out 385 pounds-feet of torque. Choose rear-, or four-wheel drive to fully take advantage of the Armada’s 9,100 pounds of maximum towing capacity. Speed-sensitive power steering comes standard, while an auto-leveling suspension is optional.
The Armada is listed as a Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) and has the Flex-Fuel option that allows the engine to run on E85 ethanol or gasoline. With that, the 2011 Nissan Armada receives 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. Other full-size SUVs that dare take-on the Armada are the Toyota Sequoia and GMC Yukon.
For 2011, the Armada decided to shake things up a little by renaming its trim levels from SE and Titanium to SV and SL. The high-end Premium model remains the same. The 2011 Armada features a cavernous interior that can seat as many as eight occupants on up to three rows of either cloth or leather seats. There is up to 97 cubic feet of storage with the rear seats stowed so you can be the one that helps your friends move.
Standard features abound in the 2011 Nissan Armada, from dual-zone automatic climate control (plus rear controls) and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter to an eight-way power driver’s seat. A power passenger seat is optional, as are heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, 12-speaker Bose audio system with 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive, 7-inch touch-screen LCD monitor, voice recognition, rear DVD entertainment system, Bluetooth® connectivity, and navigation system with XM traffic information.
On the outside, the 2011 Armada is an imposing vehicle with standard running boards and heated power side mirrors. The Armada rests on 18- or 20-inch wheels and features optional fog lamps, power liftgate, moonroof, and integrated turn signals for the side mirrors.
Keeping you and your family safe in the 2011 Nissan Armada are front, side-impact, and side curtain airbags (for all three rows), antilock brakes with brake assist, an electronic stability system with traction control, a rear backup sensor, and an optional rearview camera.
With enough room to fit an army of your own, the comfortable, safe and tech-savvy 2011 Nissan Armada is a force to be reckoned with.
