New 2010 Nissan Armada

If you love the outdoors, have lots of kids, or just like an SUV that has larger-than-life power, you will love the spacious, rugged and powerful 2010 Nissan Armada.

The Armada is available in three trims — the SE, Titanium, and Platinum.  Each is available in 2 or 4-wheel drive and has a powerful 5.6-liter, 317-horsepower V-8 engine.  That’s enough power to tow between 6,500-9,100 lbs.  The Armada is listed as a Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) and has the Flexible Fuel Vehicle option that allows the engine to run on E85 ethanol or gasoline.  That being said, the Armada receives 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway and competes with the Toyota Sequoia and GMC Yukon.

Hauling children around town has never been easier with the Armada’s vast interior space. With three rows of seats holding up to eight people and 97 cubic feet of storage, the Armada makes long vacations with the entire family a little more comfortable.  18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are standard on the SE, while 20-inch wheels are optional.

Just because the Armada has brawn, doesn’t mean that it lacks brains.  Available options include Intelligent Key entry, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth Hands-free phone system, Navigation System, XM NavTraffic, 7-inch touch-screen LCD monitor, voice recognition, and global positioning.  If you love music, then you are sure to love the optional 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive and compact flash port that can play MP3/WMA files through the digital Bose® audio system with 12 strategically placed speakers.  Because the Armada is so bulky, you have front and rear sonar systems and a rearview monitor display of what’s behind you. The Nissan DVD Entertainment System allows you to play DVDs, video games and footage from your camcorder on an 8-inch flip-down monitor.

To keep your precious cargo safe, the Armada includes 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist.  Other safety features include the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and occupant-classification sensor.  To add stability and better handling in tight situations, the Armada is equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Control.
