In terms of horsepower, the Toyota Avalon packs quite a punch and will knock the Nissan Altima Hybrid down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Toyota Avalon and the Nissan Altima Hybrid most certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Altima Hybrid's engine is significantly smaller than the Avalon's. Note that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the flip side, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage.
