2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid Overview
Blending ample power with the fuel-efficiency of a hybrid, the 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid sedan presents a win-win situation.
Available as a four-door sedan, the 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid is powered by a 158-horsepower, 2.5-liter inline-four engine that is paired with an electric motor for a net output of 198 horsepower. Power for the electric motor comes from a 245-volt nickel-metal hydride battery, which is recharged by capturing energy generated by slowing or braking. The 2011 Altima Hybrid competes with the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Ford Fusion Hybrid.
The 2011 Altima Hybrid is only available in select states (see below for a complete list)* and comes with the EPA’s Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) certification. The Altima Hybrid’s EPA-estimated ratings of 35 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway are even more impressive considering its substantial power.
On the outside, the 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid features standard 16-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors, and dual exhaust, while heated mirrors, automatic headlamps, rear spoiler, and power sunroof are optional.

The audio system features a 4.3-inch color display screen, a USB port for portable media device connectivity, XM Satellite Radio, and a CD player. This package is topped off with Bluetooth connectivity, and the display screen doubles as a display for the rearview camera. The available Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System features a 6.5-inch display screen, and can be paired with XM Navtraffic and XM NavWeather for the ultimate infotainment experience. The available navigation also displays real-time imagery of the hybrid system at work.
