There are two versions of the 370Z available: a Coupe and a soft-top Roadster convertible. Both come with a 332-horsepower, 3.7-liter, V-6 engine with 270 pounds/feet of torque with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, paddle shifters, and downshift rev matching. The racing-inspired NISMO trim is equipped gets an uptuned 350-horsepower version of the 3.7-liter V-6 which produces 276 pounds/feet of torque and is mated to a standard downshift rev matching manual transmission. An available Sport Package adds downshift rev matching to the manual transmission on the Coupe and Roadster.
Fuel economy ratings for the Nissan 370Z come in at 18 mpg for city driving and 26 mpg on the highway.
The 370Z features a high-quality interior with driver-focused dash. Inside there is room for two and cloth seats come standard while leather-appointed sport seats with synthetic suede inserts are available. Available upgrades include power and heated seats and lumbar support. The NISMO design features include cloth seats with red stitching, red interior stitching, unique shift knob, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The audio system includes an auxiliary input jack and audio controls on the steering wheel. Audio upgrades include a digital Bose audio system, satellite radio, and Bluetooth® hands free calling. A navigation system is available with a seven-inch touch screen, voice recognition, and a rear view monitor system.
The 370Z’s attention-grabbing aerodynamic style shows off long, sleek lines and a low-slung roof that slopes down to the tail. The nose has a single black grille with angular accents, and the arrowhead-shaped headlights include automatic on-off, xenon high-intensity-discharge bulbs. LED illuminated Z side marker emblems, LED taillights, and a dual exhaust add finish to the sporty appearance. An available Sport Package adds a front chin aero deflector and body-color rear spoiler to the Coupe, and the NISMO includes a unique front and rear fascia, spoiler side sills and rear spoiler. The Roadster features a power convertible soft-top with glass window, rear glass wind deflector and power moving tonneau cover. Eighteen-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels are included and may be upgraded to 19-inch forged alloy wheels, where the NISMO comes with standard NISMO-personalized 19-inch forged alloy wheels.
Standard safety features include front airbags, seat-mounted side-impact and roof mounted curtain side-impact airbags, and active head restraints. The 370Z is constructed with front and rear crumple zones, an energy-absorbing steering column, and aluminum side-door guard beams. Traction control and electronic stability control system, and 12.6-inch brake discs come standard, and upgraded 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear brake discs are available. The Roadster includes added body reinforcements.
