Available as coupe or convertible (Roadster), two trims (base and Touring), or the high-performance NISMO 370Z, the 2011 Nissan 370Z simply has it all. All versions and trims except the NISMO feature a 332-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 engine that utilizes Nissan’s high-tech VVEL valve-lift system which lifts the redline all the way up to 7,000-rpm. The rear-wheel drive 2011 Nissan 370Z produces 270 pounds-feet of toque and is mated to a standard six-speed manual that can come with Nissan’s downshift rev-match. A seven-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddle shifters is optional. The performance-oriented NISMO 370Z boasts a 350-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 that is also mated to the six-speed manual transmission with the downshift rev-match feature. The optional SynchroRev rev-matching system allows for even smoother gear changes.
EPA estimated fuel economy ratings are 18 mpg in the city and a healthy 25-mpg on the highway and the 2011 Nissan 370Z competes with the Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, and Chevrolet Camaro. The NISMO 370Z is designed for racing enthusiasts and features a limited slip differential, sport brakes with 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear discs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and functional rear spoiler. The 370Z Roadster has a power convertible top and shares the same engine, transmission and exterior design as the sports coupe. Speaking of the coupe’s design, 2011 370Z features dual exhaust pipes, 18-inch alloy wheels, and bi-xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights as standard equipment, while 19-inch alloy wheels are optional.
The interior of the 2011 Nissan 370Z unveils a driver-oriented cockpit that envelops the driver with futuristic gauges and tightly crafted seating, giving the feeling that you are one with the car. The voice-activated hard drive-based navigation system features XM NavTraffic and an available 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive stores up to 2,900 songs. Heated and cooled leather and faux suede seats, satellite radio, USB/iPod port and a six-speaker BOSE sound system are optional.
