2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid Overview

Available as a four-door sedan, the 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid is powered by a 158-horsepower, 2.5-liter inline-four engine paired with an electric motor for a net system output of 198 horsepower. Power for the electric motor comes from a 245-volt nickel-metal hydride battery which is recharged by capturing energy generated while braking. The Altima Hybrid is available in California and other select “green” states with the same emissions policies, and comes with the EPA’s Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) certification. The Altima Hybrid’s 35 mpg city rating is far superior to the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid, while the 33 mpg highway rating is just a tick behind.
The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid is offered with available Convenience, Premium, and Technology packages. For 2010, the Altima Hybrid’s interior gets some updates including revised fabrics and finishing trim pieces around items such as the transmission shifter. Leather seat upholstery is available, as are heated front seats. A new upgrade audio system features a 4.3-inch color display screen, a USB port for portable media device connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and a CD player. This package also gets wrapped up with Bluetooth connectivity, and the display screen also works for the rearview camera. The available Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System features a 6.5-inch display screen, and can be paired with XM Navtraffic and XM NavWeather for the ultimate infotainment experience. An available power moonroof tops off the options list.
On the outside, the 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid proudly wears revised front bumper and grille designs, along with a freshened hood and new 16-inch alloy wheels. The iconic Altima flavor is sustained.
To keep you safe, the 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid is equipped with dual front, dual front-side and two-row curtain airbags, as well as active front head restrains.
