2011 Mitsubishi Galant Overview

For those who wish to be responsible when it comes to paying at the pump and at the dealership, the smart, affordable, and efficient 2011 Mitsubishi Galant sedan is a no-brainer.

Available in two trims ES and SE, the 2011 Mitsubishi Galant has something for everyone.  Under the hood, the Galant features a 160-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder that outputs 157 pounds-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed Sportronic automatic transmission with manual-shift mode.  The 2011 Galant gets 21-mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway—not bad for a four-door midsize sedan.  Speaking of midsize sedans, the Galant competes with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Chevrolet Malibu.

Like the Eclipse coupe, the 2011 Galant has been lowered half an inch, giving it a more aerodynamic stance and improving driving dynamics.  The grille now has a new silver-painted mesh design and both trims feature more chrome molding.  The ES rests on 16-inch steel wheels and features power side mirrors, auto-off headlights, and daytime running lights.  The SE takes it up a notch with fog lights, a chrome tailpipe, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a new power moonroof.

Other than seating five occupants, the 2011 Mitsubishi Galant features standard air conditioning, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry,140-watt audio system with six speakers, and an auxiliary input jack for your iPod.  For added comfort and gadgetry, the SE boasts a DVD-based touch-screen navigation system, Bluetooth® connectivity, a 650-watt Rockford Fosgate premium stereo system, sport-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, 8-way power driver’s seat, HomeLink automatic garage door integration, and heated front seats as standard equipment.  Leather upholstery is optional.

As for safety, the 2011 Galant features Active Stability Control, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, dual advanced front airbags with seat position and occupant sensors, front seat-mounted side airbags, roof-mounted side curtain airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, and a LATCH system for child-safety seats.  A rear backup camera helps keep people who are outside the Galant safe and comes standard in the SE.

The 2011 Mitsubishi Galant midsize sedan is perfect for the daily commute, the family, or for those who don’t want to pay a fortune for fuel efficiency and comfort.
