After introducing the John Cooper Works for 2009 Mini takes it to the next level with the JCW convertible in 2010. Available as a two-door hatchback and extended-length Clubman, the John Cooper Works is a throwback to its heyday when Coopers were used for racing. A turbocharged 208-horsepower four-cylinder is mated to a six-speed transmission. Both the JCW and Clubman version feature 17-inch alloy wheels, high-performance brakes and countless accessories.
The Cooper hatchback is available as a hardtop and convertible and includes an cruise control as standard equipment. Because it’s Mini’s 50th anniversary, Camden and Mayfair trims are available. Its impressive performance and razor-sharp steering is furthered in the Cooper S, which is slightly larger and features a significant bump in horsepower and torque from its supercharged 4-cylinder engine. All Mini’s get phenomenal fuel economy at 23-28 mpg in the city and 32-37 mpg on the highway.
The Mini Clubman features a stretched wheelbase, a passenger-side backseat half-door, and an old-fashioned tailgate that features two vertical doors for easy access to the generous cargo area. It boasts radical retro styling and the same fuel-efficient, powerful engines as the Cooper.
