2014 MINI MINI-Clubman Overview
Mini stretched the length of its Cooper hardtop by about 9 inches to make the four-seat Cooper Clubman. The extra length creates more legroom for the Clubman's two rear passengers, and cargo room behind the backseat is larger. There's a pair of split-opening rear doors that swing out to either side, rather than the regular Cooper's conventional hatchback. There's also a rear-hinged access door on the passenger side.
The Clubman comes in choice of 15-, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels. S versions come with a hood-scoop intake and dual exhaust tips. Available adaptive xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights and dual-panel panoramic sunroof optional.
Interior details in the Clubman feature a large center-mounted speedometer, Simulated leather, cloth or real leather upholstery, push-button start, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/iPod adapter, and air conditioning with a climate-controlled glove box; available automatic air conditioning. Navigation system optional.
Under the Hood
Powered by a 121-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, the S versions come in a 181-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, both come standard in a six-speed manual transmission. Available six-speed automatic and sport suspension with stiffer front and rear stabilizer bars optional.
The compact Clubman has side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, and electronic stability system. Rear parking sensors optional.
