The Mercury Mountaineer's more massive trunk will accommodate more massive objects than the FX35. The Mercury Mountaineer will very likely prove friendlier than the FX35 for those of you with frequent child-cargo. Towing is quite a bit more the Mountaineer's forte than it is the Infiniti FX35's.
