Mercury Mountaineer vs. Chevrolet TrailBlazer Review

The Mountaineer will quite certainly prove more practical than the Chevrolet TrailBlazer for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The Mountaineer outpulls the Chevrolet TrailBlazer by a large margin.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet TrailBlazer's tank is about the same size as the Mercury Mountaineer's, though the Mercury Mountaineer's is a little bigger. The TrailBlazer and the Mercury Mountaineer compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You'll most definitely take the Chevrolet TrailBlazer for a fill-up about as often as the Mercury.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the TrailBlazer to the dealership as the Mountaineer. With respect to MSRP, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer doesn't cost much less than the Mercury Mountaineer.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and the Mercury Mountaineer most certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Mercury Mountaineer's engine is a little smaller than the TrailBlazer's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer isn't much more powerful than the Mercury Mountaineer.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet TrailBlazer offers a bit more head room than the Mercury Mountaineer, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Chevrolet TrailBlazer is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Mercury.

Warranty
The Mountaineer and the Chevrolet TrailBlazer have the same basic after-sale protection.
