Mercury Overview:
Like its sibling the Ford Fusion, the Mercury Milan and all-new Milan Hybrid midsize sedans are restyled for 2010.  Sleeker styling, more standard safety features, and revamped four- and six-cylinder drivetrains usher the Milan into the 21st century.  The Milan’s 25-34 mpg on the highway is more efficient than the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

Mercury’s foray into the hybrid passenger car segment begins with the all-new Milan Hybrid midsize sedan.  The Milan Hybrid receives an astounding 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway and can travel up to 47 mph on electric power alone.  Two LCD screens display hybrid system information such as an animated vine that grows leaves according to how efficiently the Milan Hybrid is being driven.

The Mariner compact SUV gets new blind spot mirrors and Ford’s MyKey system as well as added traffic and weather information to the optional voice-activated SYNC multimedia system.  The Mariner seats five, gets 18-21/23-28 mpg city/highway, and is the sister vehicle to the Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute.

If the Mariner isn’t fuel efficient enough for you, check out the Mariner Hybrid, which receives the same upgrades as the gas-only Mariner, but gets 29-34 mpg in the city and 27-31 mpg on the highway—the best of any SUV on the market.

If you desire a bigger, more powerful SUV, then check out the Mountaineer full-size SUV.  Seat up to seven passengers or utilize 85.8 cubic feet of cargo space.  Rugged, yes.  Luxurious—definitely.  The 2010 Mountaineer adds the SIRIUS Travel Link service, more standard features to the Premier trim and trailer-sway control.

The Grand Marquis is Mercury’s full-size tank that rides smooth and has enough trunk space to accommodate four sets of golf clubs.

2010 also brings the discontinuation for the Mercury Sable.
