The 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is characterized by poise and performance. A lineup of sedans and wagons with powerful gasoline or turbocharged diesel engines meld technological innovations with engineering brilliance.

E-Class Sedans are offered in four distinct trim levels. The breakthrough E320 BLUETEC® features a thrifty and powerful 3.0 liter 24-valve V-6 diesel engine with 210 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, all while delivering up to 675 miles per tank. The E350 boasts a 3.5 liter 24-valve V-6 engine with 268 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The striking E550 gets things moving with a 5.5 liter 32-valve V-8 engine with 382 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. The top-of-the-line E63 AMG is powered by the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 engine ever produced – a 6.3 liter 32-valve V-8 with 507 horsepower and an astonishing 465 lb.-ft. of torque.

E-Class Wagons are available in two trim levels. The E350 4MATIC™ Wagon features standard permanent all-wheel drive and comes with the aforementioned 3.5 liter 24-valve V-6 engine. The E63 AMG Wagon is a ferocious performer with the 6.3 liter 32-valve V-8 engine. Both feature standard third-row seating and 7-passenger capacity.

Rear-wheel drive models are mated to a 7-speed Touch Shift automatic transmission, delivering punch acceleration and crisp shifting, with the exception of the E63 AMG Sedan, which features a dynamic 7-speed automatic transmission with AMG SPEEDSHIFT™ and fingertip shift paddles for lightning-quick gear changes. Models equipped with the optional 4MATIC™ all-wheel drive system feature a 5-speed automatic transmission.

As you would expect, all E-Class models come with a wealth of features to coddle and comfort passengers. Premium leather upholstery is standard across the line, with dual- or four-zone climate control, Burl Walnut trim, and a 6-disc CD changer and AUX input for connecting your MP3 player. 10-way power adjustable front seats, COMAND Cockpit Management and Data System, and a Harman/Kardon LOGIC7® digital surround-sound system are also available. An integrated Hands-Free Communication System with Bluetooth® interface keeps you connected and focused on the road, while an optional DVD Navigation Systems uses GPS satellites to provide consistently accurate maps and directions.

A stunning example of invigorating performance, innovative green diesel technology, and first-class luxury, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the epitome of well-balanced automotive perfection.
