Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2009 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Overview
The 2009 Mercedes Benz M-Class is the ultimate in luxury SUVs. Not only can it tow up to 7,200 pounds, but all five passengers will be amazed by the smooth drive and magnificent extras found in Mercedes' star car.

The M-Class comes in four trims, and each has a unique engine. Run by a 3.0-liter diesel V-6 engine capable of 210-horsepower, the ML320 BLUETEC is the entry level of M-Class trims. The ML350 introduces the latest engine model by the company. The 3.5-liter V-6 can create 268-horsepower and should be run on unleaded gasoline. Step up a class to the ML550. Using a 5.5-liter V8 engine to create 382-horsepower, this car makes you feel the real force of a Mercedes M-Class. Finally, for those who want the absolute best-of-the-best, invest in the ML63 AMG. The ML63 AMG has a 6.3-liter V-8 engine under its hood which can create 503-horsepower. That sort of power can propel this luxury SUV from 0 to 60 in a mere 4.9 seconds.

While the M-Class is an ultra-luxury SUV, it is a bargain compared to its competitors: the Lexus GX 470 and the BMW X5. Even though the cars are similarly priced, the sheer choice of options and engine power pale in comparison to Mercedes' star car. It also gets similar fuel efficiency with 15 MPG in the city and 20 MPG on the highway.

The standard features on the M-Class are similar to luxury features found on most high end vehicles. Each trim comes with a DVD player, radio data system, weather band radio and heated seats. The 48 month/50,000 mile warranty is an added highlight to the already spectacular car. For those who would like even more luxury, add a GPS system, adaptive suspension and heated rear seats for an additional fee.

Standard safety features abound in this high end SUV. Each model has stability control and is equipped with front, side and side curtain airbags. Parktronic comes standard.   Each vehicle utilizes keyless entry, panic alarm and rear child safety door locks. With all these features no wonder the M-Class has a NHTSA Driver's Crash Rating of 5 stars (out of 5).

For all the luxury, options and sheer power you could possibly want, consider the 2008 Mercedes-Benz M-Class. It is the king of all luxury SUVs.
