2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class Overview
Not to be left behind in the SUV/crossover race, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class brings luxury, sophistication, power, performance and a uniquely reasonable price to the party.

Ranking right up there with the most powerful crossovers in the market, the GLK350 boasts a 3.5-liter, 268-horsepower V-6 that produces 258 pounds-feet of torque and is mated to a seven-speed transmission. The GLK350 is available in all-wheel drive (4MATIC) and rear-wheel drive and has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. When it comes to fuel economy, the GLK350 receives 16 mpg in the city and 21-22 mpg on the highway. The GLK350 competes with other luxury crossovers such as the Acura RDX, BMW X3 and Land Rover LR2.

With its distinctive large front grille, the GLK350 shares a likeness to its big brother the GL-Class. 19-inch alloy wheels are standard, while 20-inch rims, panoramic moonroof and power liftgate are optional. Seat up to five passengers and utilize up to 54.7 cubic feet of cargo volume with the second row folded and 23.3 cubic feet with it erected. A central controller knob allows you to browse through your audio, communication and navigation systems, which are displayed on a five-inch color display. Speaking of the navigation system, a 40GB hard drive is built into the COMAND system allowing you to access restaurants, hotels, ATMs, and much, much more. When it comes to music, a 6GB hard drive with Music Register allows you to download your CDs, while the available iPod/MP3 interface gives you added capability. The Multimedia Package features a seven-inch display with in-dash 6-disc DVD/CD changer, while the 600-watt 5.1 Dolby Digital surround-sound system has eleven speakers and a subwoofer for crystal clear sound. A rear-seat entertainment system boasts two eight-inch flat-panel-LCD screens that can accommodate DVDs and video games.

When it comes to safety, the GLK350 features antilock brakes, side curtain airbags, side-impact airbags for the front seats, active head restraints for the front and an electronic stability system as standard equipment. Bi-Xenon Headlamps with active curve illumination provide better vision over longer distances. Hill Start Assist, a rearview camera and Agility Control all help keep you and yours safe.

With a wealth of cutting-edge technology features, ample power and enough cargo volume for road trips, the all-new 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class brings luxury to the crossover segment.
