2015 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Overview

Mercedes-Benz's seven-passenger GL-Class SUV has three rows of seats. It's offered with a turbocharged V-8, a turbo-diesel V-6 or a new twin-turbo gas V-6 engine. Competitors include the Cadillac Escalade, the Infiniti QX80 and the Lexus LX 570.

New for 2015
The GL450 gets a new 362-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine, and fuel-saving stop-start technology is available for all GL-Class models with a gas engine.

GL63 AMG
The Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG packs big power into a big SUV. To be exact, there's 550 hp from the twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 that sends power through a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Like the regular GL-Class, there's room for seven occupants in three rows, but the GL63 can take passengers to a top speed of 174 mph.
