New 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class

Available in two trim levels, the CLS550 Coupe and CLS63 AMG, drivers are left with fast and faster.  The CLS550 does not waste any time—literally.  Its 5.5-liter, 382-horsepower, DOHC 32-valve V-8 engine with 391 lb.-ft. of torque will take you from 0 to 60 in only 5.4 seconds.  The CLS63 AMG sees that and raises it to a 6.3-liter, 507-horsepower, DOHC 32-valve V-8 engine with 465 lb.-ft. of torque.  Both boast an advanced driver-adaptive 7-speed automatic transmission with Touch Shift control for manual-style shifting.

Both models feature 10-way power-adjustable front seats, each with 3-position memory and driver's adjustable lumbar support.  Leather seats and the leather-trimmed steering wheel are pure luxury.  The COMAND Cockpit Management and Data system manages the Harman/Kardon® LOGIC7® digital surround-sound system with in-dash 6-disc CD changer.  Control the sun with power tilt/sliding tinted glass sunroof with one-touch express-open/close and memory sun sensor, which helps compensate for the effects of direct sunlight on occupants. 

The AMG comes with a 40GB hard-drive with GPS Navigation, Bluetooth interface with hands-free calling, in-dash 6-disc DVD/CD Changer and SD memory card reader.  19-inch alloy wheels, multi-contour front seats, and dual lumbar supports provide maximum comfort.  The interior of the AMG is flush with premium leather upholstery with Alcantara shoulder inserts leather-trimmed sport steering wheel with raised thumb grips and a leather-trimmed AMG shift knob.

Safety and security features include driver and passenger front air bags, knee bags, side-impact head thorax air bags and 3-point seat belts.  Other standard safety features include Antilock brakes, 4-wheel disc brakes and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP). Both trim levels come with Tele Aid.  Tele Aid provides 24-hour live assistance for emergency aid, information and roadside assistance.  If you are in an accident and the airbags are deployed, Automatic Collision Notification sends a signal to operators who quickly notify paramedics.  SmartKey remote control integrates remote door unlock, trunk opener, removable valet key, and panic alarm.
