Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class Overview
With a sleek and curvy style reminiscent of the German automaker’s entry-level sedan, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class is an amazing mix of sportiness and luxury that is also affordably priced to the new car buying masses.

Multiple trim levels for the CLK-Class provide a little something for everyone. The CLK350 and CLK550 come as both a coupe and convertible; the former charged with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and 268-horsepower, while the latter by a 5.4-liter V-8 with 382-horsepower. Seven-speed automatic transmissions make driving easy on both of these style options.

For added performance, the CLK63 AMG convertible pushes the envelope with a 6.2-liter V-8 beast under the hood, good for 475-horsepower and all the strength to make a drive along the beach more like a race with you edging out the sunset across the finish line. The CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe pumps 500-horsepower from a 6.2-liter engine. Both of the AMG styles provide seven-speed automatic transmission for driving flexibility.

With Mercedes-Benz presenting a CLK350 Grand Edition trim level in 2009, only 500 coupes and convertibles will be available to the general public with exclusive features sure to impress. Standing toe-to-toe with competition like the Jaguar XK and BMW 650, the CLK-Class has a sportier exterior design and handling that many in its vehicle group. And with 15-17 MPG city and 21-25 MPG highway, the CLK-Class sets the bar for fuel economy ever higher.

The CLK-Class seats up to four passengers with front leather seats. Comfortable cabin space is paired with a power-closing trunk-lid, automatic dual-zone air conditioning with a sun sensor, 10-way power front seats, rain-sensing wipers and a Harman Kardon seven-channel digital surround-sound stereo.

Safety features for both body styles of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class are plenty and desired for any emergency driving maneuver. Convertible models exhibit sensor-controlled roll bars as head restraints. Additional precautionary details include four side-impact airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system.

Well-equipped for the wannabe hip young professional celebrating their first promotion or the soon-to-be retiree enjoying the fruits of their hard work, the 2009 Mercedes Benz CLK-Class is sure to be at the top of all luxury coupe car buying lists.
