2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Overview
Redesigned two years ago to be slightly larger and wider, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class luxury sedan has been fine-tuned for 2010. Competing against BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Infiniti G37, the entry-level 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is available in Luxury and Sport versions; all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive configurations, and four trim levels. The C300 boasts a 228-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6, which is also offered with an ethanol-capable engine. The C350 comes equipped with a 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6, while the high-performance C63 is powered by a 451-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8. Two transmission choices are also available, including a six-speed manual with overdrive and a seven-speed automatic with overdrive. The C-Class receives an EPA-estimated 12-18 mpg in the city and 19-26 mpg on the highway. Sitting on standard 17-inch wheels, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class provides seating for up to five passengers and 12.4 cubic feet of trunk space. Riding in luxury includes standard interior features such as eight-way power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a moon roof and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Optional equipment offered in the 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class includes a rear-view camera, which via an LCD display, helps you determine whether any objects, people, or other vehicles are directly behind you when backing up or parallel parking. A fully retractable panorama sunroof that tilts or slides open and an iPod integration kit with steering wheel controls are also available. A navigation system and Universal Media Interface with USB connectivity are also optional. Several optional packages are also available, including: Premium, Multimedia, COMAND and Dynamic Handling. Standard safety features include side-impact airbags in the front, side curtain airbags, four-wheel-disc antilock brakes, traction control and electronic stability program (ESP). Working in conjunction with ESP, 4Matic all-wheel-drive maximizes traction on sharp corners and slippery surfaces by applying additional torque to each wheel. The 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class luxury sedan is loaded with options, starting with the powertrain. Four powerful engine choices are available, including a flex-fuel V-6, and EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings are among the best in class.
