2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Overview
For those seeking maximum value in a luxury sports sedan without having to overpay for it, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class continues to be one of the favorites to blend performance, handling and style all into one. The automaker’s entry-level vehicle was redesigned last year and garnered rave reviews, allowing Mercedes-Benz to move forward with furthering accents this time around on its already well-received “Baby Benz.”

The C-Class is offered in four feature-laden trim levels. The C300 Luxury provides a 3.0-liter V-6 engine with standard seven-speed automatic transmission. Displaying 228-horsepower and 258-pound-feet of torque from this initial style, strength is certainly not in question. The C300 Sport carries the same engine as its Luxury sibling, but distinguishes itself with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as additional exterior style and interior trim amenities. Both C300s offer optional 4Matic – the Mercedes Benz all-wheel-drive system for increased road traction.

The C350 takes power to the next level with a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine and seven-speed automatic transmission for 268-horsepower. Meanwhile, the C63 AMG exudes the highest performance for this model with a 6.3-liter V-8 engine that can barely contain itself under the hood for up to 451-horsepower and lightning fast acceleration. The C-Class offers 12-18 MPG city and 19-26 MPG highway across these four different style levels.

Such performance upgrades and improved style make the C-Class a leader in its vehicle category, competing with the likes of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G35. Reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the C-Class brings sports and luxury together with added personality and much prestige.

The C-Class seats up to five passengers with front bucket and rear bench seating. A newly-offered optional navigation system features an even-larger internal hard drive than previous models to store up to 6GB of music. A refined interior presents dual-zone automatic climate control and moon-roof that come standard.

The stellar safety record of the entire line of Mercedes-Benz vehicles is no more evident than in the C-Class. Desired safety features that are provided standard on this vehicle include side-impact and pelvic front-seat airbags, four-wheel-disc antilock brakes, traction control and an electronic stability system for possible emergency impacts.

With a spacious interior cabin size, more-than-capable muscle under the hood and technology to bring driving ease, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the luxury sports sedan you surely cannot deny taking a peek into.
