With respect to horsepower, the MAZDASPEED3 packs quite a wallop and will knock the Toyota down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

With its tighter turning circle, the Toyota Yaris is definitely sprier than the Mazda MAZDASPEED3, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, bear in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.
